Ebec Challenge

EBEC Challenge – European BEST Engineering Competition – is an engineering competition organized by BEST open to all students and structured on two levels: the local round and the national round.
During the local round teams of three or four students of the same university of engineering face each other. The first team classified in the Team Design and the first for the Case Study gain access to the national phase where the best ideas, projects and prototypes of Italy will emerge

Over 6000 participants from 88 different Universities in 32 nations compete into two differents rounds, with the advancement of the winners through 3 different levels: local round, national/regional round and European final. EBEC is the opportunity for the students capable of picking up a challenge and pushing their limits, testing their knowledge outside the normal academic field. It’s the right chance to enter in contact with a working field and to apply your skills to real life situations. During the competition, the participant will have to face two different rounds: the Case Study and the Team Design.

The teams, composed of four people each, will have to try the Case Study and Team Design tests trying to work in an aligned way to autonomously carry out a European topic. In the first the students will have to solve a real business problem that will reward the most original and innovative idea. In the second test, the participants will have to create a working prototype that will have to fulfill a specific task. The competition is completely free and as well as being an opportunity for students to meet working situations, it is also an opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
